Cicero is a XML-based web service that enables users to find and map information about local, state and national elected officials representing any address in the U.S.

Cicero provides three distinct services:

Legislative District Identification
Based on a street address and postal code, the service returns the council, legislative district, or school district plus latitude and longitude for the address. Users or organizations can submit a single address or several addresses and determine the precise local, state, and national district information for that location.
Elected Official Information
The service can provide detailed information about the elected officials representing a given address (except for school districts) including telephone contact, e-mail contact, website, and mailing address(es). It can also return committee information and notes. Data is updated on a quarterly basis to ensure that the service is up- to- date, even when a special election occurs outside of the regular election cycle.     See What Current Data is Available
District Maps
Cicero enables generation of map images of each local, state, and national district as well as construction of interactive mapping capabilities.
Boundary data is updated annually.
