Avencia Incorporated, a Philadelphia-based Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software development firm, announces the release of Australia and New Zealand political data through Cicero™, its legislative district boundary and elected official web API (application programming interface). Information about elected legislators as well as the district boundaries that define their constituencies is frequently dispersed across multiple agencies and different levels of government. Much of it remains on paper. Finding the information for any particular location can prove to be a difficult and time-consuming task. Now, through Cicero, users can easily identify national, state, territory, and province level political representatives as well as view maps of election districts for any location in Australia and New Zealand.

The Cicero website has a new look. Over the past several months the Cicero database has been expanding, adding new geographies and types of data. We're excited about making all this new data available to the public, and our new website makes it easier than ever to find out how you can make Cicero work for you.

The Cicero team is pleased to announce the expansion of the database to include police district information for major metropolitan areas in the United States. The new data set enables users to identify police districts or precincts for addresses in 20 of the top 25 metropolitan areas.

The Cicero team has added city council district boundaries and elected official data for several U.S. cities previously unavailable in Cicero. These additions bring the total number of available city councils to 80.
